8th National Ayurvedic Day was celebrated in Vapi of Valsad district

On the occasion of celebrating 8th National Ayurvedic Day in Vapi under the chairmanship of Finance, Energy and Petrochemicals Minister Kanubhai Desai, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Gujarat inaugurated Ayush Mela organized by Health Branch of Valsad Zilla Panchayat and Government Ayurvedic Hospital Valsad under the direction of Director Ayush Office Gandhinagar.  The Minister also visited various exhibitions.
        In the program, Minister Kanubhai said in the occasion that since Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi took the helm of the country, there has been a lot of growth in your lifestyle, practices and economic development.  The celebration of World Yoga Day has spread the saga of yoga across the world.  India was at the highest level of life style, practice and health in the world.  It changed over time.  But again under the leadership of the Prime Minister we are moving towards the roots of our culture.  He shouted from the Red Fort that there must be toilets everywhere, women should not suffer.  Dirt causes epidemics.  So the Prime Minister has made great efforts for toilets and sanitation.  Ayurveda holds supreme position for diagnosis and treatment of every disease.  Most of the diseases that do not require surgery can be treated with the common medicines of Ayurveda.  Homeopathy also has a prominent place in the treatment of disease.  Everyone should make efforts to increase the prevalence of Ayurveda in the world by spreading the methods of Ayurveda

General OPD, gynecology, pediatrics and various other patients were examined and treated at Ayush Mela.  Also an exhibition of Millets dishes, herbs, kitchen medicines, books and codes was held.  Various yogas were demonstrated by yoga instructor Saurabhbhai and team.  In this Ayush Mela, Ayurveda and Homeopathy diseases will be diagnosed, treated, medicine distributed, decoction distributed, children aged 0 to 12 years will be given Suvarna Prasan, homeopathic health drink drops.
